AFTERCARE: Aftercare instructions can be available in person printed out for you, sent via email or will be available to view on my site any time you wish to see the instructions.

If you've been given different aftercare instructions by a different artist in the past, this does not mean their instructions were wrong or incorrect. Every tattoo artist/studio recommends instructions based on their own knowledge and tattooing experiences.
I ask that you follow and adhere to only my aftercare instructions for any tattoos I do. If you're unclear about the instructions provided please don't hesitate to call.
DO NOT follow healing advice from anyone other than the tattoo professional who recently did your tattoo or a medical professional. Depending on the area tattooed, generally speaking, in 1-3 weeks the tattoo will appear fully healed and settled. For all of the layers of skin underneath the surface to be truly healed, it can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 4 months. Full and complete healing time is dependent on your individual immune system and the aftercare treatment.

Here's what TO DO! ✅

🟢Wash your tattoo 2 times a day, in the morning and again at
night, with antibacterial soap or any soap that doesn’t irritate or cause a negative reaction from your healing tattoo.
🟢 Recommendation: liquid Dial antibacterial soap. Please note bar soaps can have bacteria on the surface layer and should be avoided.
-If you're in a dirty line of work or occupation, for example an auto mechanic or construction worker, then you clean your tattoo 3 times a day.
🟢Wash with warm water and soap, rinse with cold every time you clean the tattoo throughout the healing process.
🟢Always pat dry a cleaned tattoo with a clean towel and allow it to completely “air-dry” before applying any aftercare.
🟢Use only a Tattoo Aftercare product or Non-Perfumed healing/moisturizing lotion or ointment on your tattoo throughout the healing process 2-4 times daily or as needed.
Applied only in thin layers.
🟢Maintain your freshly done tattoo by keeping it moisturized without overdoing it.
🟢You want the skin to look shiny without a thick layer sitting on the surface. Ointment based products are thicker, warm it in your hand to thin the product out to avoid over use.
🟢When showering, keep water comfortably warm, get in, handle business and get out. Avoid soaking the tattooed area longer than needed.
🟢Wear loose fitting, light fabric clothes, to avoid compressing the freshly tattooed area. Do this while healing a tattoo to avoid irritation or compromising the tattoo. For example if you got a foot tattoo and don't have to wear shoes, keep them off.
🟢Protect your freshly done tattoo from any direct sunlight or sun exposure for the next 30 days.
-I highly recommend daily moisturizing and using a sunblock (Min SPF 30) for the life of any tattoo you get once the healing phase is completed.

What NOT TO DO!

❗️DO NOT scrub the tattoo or use a washcloth when
washing or cleaning newly tattooed skin. With clean washed hands and light pressure, slowly circulate hand flat across the skin to clean off any fresh and/or dry blood or body fluids.
❗️DO NOT expose your new or freshly healed tattoo to direct sunlight for the first 30 days. Do not apply sunblock directly to a fresh or healing tattoo.
❗️DO NOT allow a fresh tattoo to soak in any kind of water. Ex. Long hot shower, swimming, bathing
❗️DO NOT get in chlorinated or chemically treated water.
Chlorinated water (pools) should be avoided for a minimum of 30
days.
❗️DO NOT pick, peel, pull or scratch at your new tattoo.
When scabbing, peeling or flaking occurs, allow scabs or peels to fall off on their own as you will get ink hollows if you pull them off early.
❗️DO NOT allow your tattoo to come in contact with pet hair/dander as this can cause infections. Replace or wash all bed linens if pets are allowed on your bed.

DERM SHIELD BANDAGE INFO
DermShield can stay on for 5-7 days and take care of most of the scabbing process if it stays applied properly. -You can remove the bandage early, at any time - do not rebandage if removed
Derm Shield is a breathable, flexible, water resistant, medical grade film.
Bandage should be removed gently. Pulling and rolling it back over itself in the direction of hair growth (slowly in a downward motion). This process can be done in the shower.
Accumulation of body fluid such as blood and plasma is perfectly normal, no matter how much collects under the film. If the seal is broken around the tattoo and fluids begin to leak out, remove the film immediately, clean and wash the tattoo thoroughly and begin following the above recommended aftercare instructions.
After 5-7 days of wear, upon removal, the above aftercare will still need to be followed for the remainder of the healing time. Derm Shield contains adhesive and may cause a reaction or irritation if allergic to adhesives. At the first sign of any allergic reaction, sensitivity and/or irritation occurs, immediately remove the DERM SHIELD film off and clean your tattoo thoroughly with warm water and gentle soap. Start following the above recommended aftercare instructions.
TOUCH UP INFO
Some styles may require a touch up sooner than others. Example: Thin line work and full saturation (blackwork, full color) based styles.
